We really enjoyed our stay at City River. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were fantastic and the location was ideal. The swimming pool was magic. We would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel to others travelling to Siem Reap.
We hope to come back to Siem Reap in the near future.

My son Jerome and I stayed at City River from 28th to 31st May 2010. We loved the good location just minutes away from Pub Street, the old and central markets. City River caters for the minute details like providing tooth brushes, tooth paste and comb for their guests. Free WiFi access at the pool side, lobby and restaurant plus the two desktops (behind the lobby) with free internet access is indeed a big plus. For the price, we agreed that the buffet breakfast was good and adequate. Looking through other guests' review I tend to agree that you should make the area surrounding the pool non-slip before some guests gets hurt. I myself had a near miss.
To conclude, we have nothing but praises for the charming and friendly staff. We will definitely recommend our friends to stay at City River.

I would highly recommend this hotel for it's location, excellent staff and price. I have stayed here every year for the past three years usually for several weeks each time. BUT unfortunately this year may be the last time. The pool is small but adequate for the number of rooms as most people are out at the temples stanggered throughout the day. However the hotel has started a ridiculous policy of opening the pool up to people not staying at City River. Many hotels do this in Siem Reap but they have much larger facilities and limit the number of none guests using the pool and roof terrace. This year in April so many NGO volunteers were at the pool that I and other guests ended up paying to use another hotel's pool.
Change or at least restrict your open door policy City River or you will lose out in the long run.
The surface around the pool needs to be non-slip.
It is very good that you give the guests the option of keeping their linen longer than one day.
It would be really good if you had a drinking water dispenser in the foyer many plastic bottles are bad for the environment.
When my husband was taken ill with chest pains in the middle of night the Reception staff called an ambulance for me and were very kind and helpful.Through the next 3days they were very understanding about the changing arrangemnets and checking out and back in again. When my husband was discharged from the hospital the staff all asked about him which was very considerate of them. Congratulations,they were a credit to the hotel.
The City River is a great hotel! The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful-nothing is too much trouble. City River has a good location -close to town but also close to Angkor Wat-it is spotlessly clean.
The thing that impressed me the most about this hotel was the friendliness of ALL the staff. I was made to feel very welcome and i thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I will recommend this hotel to my friends. Thank you. Tom
Unfortunately we didn't have much time in the hotel, but if i come back to Cambodia I will stay here again. Service, Room, Food, everything was of a very good quality.Besides having a change to use swimming pool on the roof top makes this hotel special.

I can think a million reasons why you should choose the City Rver, the main ones being the staff, the location, the big rooms with a balcony, the tranguility, the breakfasts,the rooftop pool, the free internet, the presentation and the price. Are you ridding. As the Boss say "take me to the City River" one more time.

Excellent place to stay in SIEM REAP. Very centrally located facility with a nice view of the river. A good river walk at night.Well illuminated the staff are exceptionally friendlly, pleasant and very helpful. Will recommend this place to my friends.
The hotel was excellent overall.Very close to all markets, town center, hiring bikes to get around very easy but staff were very friendly, helpful would definately stay here again.

We had an eceptional stay here and are extremly please that we chose this hotel to stay. The staff were friendly and very eager to meet our every need. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.The hotel was clean and comfortable and is situated in a very good location, it also has the added bonus of a rooftop pool, perfect for a long hot day or a wind down after sight seeing.
This is one of the best friendliest and most comfortable hotels we have stayed in. You staff are wonderful from reception, to restaurant to the staff cleaning the rooms and the staff opening the front entry door. The laundry service was also fantestic. We would stay here again and reccommend your hotel. We extended our stay an extra 2 days.

We were delighted with our choice to stay at City river Hotel. Without exception, the staff were always incredibly helpful and friendly. Our room was reasonably sized, spotless, light and had the advantage of a balcony. The rooftop pool was a welcome relief after a day at the temples. The hotel itself is located well and a short walk across the bridge takes you to the centre of town. The only criticism we could make was that the (free) internet was frustratingly slow and I understand that they are working on improving this. City River hotel was very reasonably priced...in fact, for what you get, this must be the best value deal in town. We will confidentally reccommend a stay at City River Hotel to any friends planning to visit Siem Reap.
